We feel extremely fortunate to be able to welcome our guests back to the inn. But we want to ensure each and every one of you that your health and safety is our number one priority.
As the state of this public health emergency changes from day to day, we will remain focused on keeping our guests and staff safe, healthy, and informed.

Travelers Coming to Massachusetts
All travelers arriving to Massachusetts prior to August 1 2020 – including Massachusetts residents returning home – are instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days, except that, beginning July 1, 2020, travelers from Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and New Jersey arriving in Massachusetts are exempt from this directive and need not self-quarantine for 14 days.
Effective August 1 2020, all visitors and returning residents are required to fill out a Massachusetts Traveler Form unless they are coming from a state that has been designated a lower risk COVID-19 state or fall into an exemption category. Currently, the lower COVID-19 states are NY, NJ, CT, ME, RI, VT, NH and HI. Additionally, visitors and returning residents arriving in Massachusetts from any place other than a COVID-19 lower risk state must quarantine for 14 days unless they can produce a negative COVID-19 test result administered on a sample taken not more than 72 hours prior to arriving in Massachusetts. Please Wear a Face Mask / Covering
For everyone’s safety during these extraordinary times, a face mask must be worn in the Main House when outside of your room; and on the Grounds when proper social distancing can not be maintained. We want to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Don’t have a mask? No problem! Call us ahead of time and we’ll bring one to the door for you.
Practice Social Distancing
Please remember to stay a safe distance (at least 6 feet) from other guests. Let’s all be as safe as possible. We want to ensure that all guests feel comfortable and safe while staying at the inn.
Cleaning of the Inn
The Long Dell Inn will be clean, safe and secure. The common areas and the guest rooms & bathrooms will be thoroughly cleaned by our wonderful cleaning staff with high grade cleaning products that adhere to CDC guidelines. For your safety and piece of mind, hand sanitizer will be available in each guest room and in the Main House of the Inn.
We have always taken the cleanliness of the Inn very serious. In fact, we recently received our 2020 AAA Best of Housekeeping designation. According to AAA, the “Best of Housekeeping” designation is exclusively awarded to lodging properties that “significantly surpass expectations, as measured during a comprehensive, on-site inspection.” In order to meet the stringent criteria for the award, these properties must demonstrate housekeeping excellence by receiving the highest possible cleanliness and condition scores for two consecutive inspections, as well as be entirely free of AAA member complaints.
What to expect upon arrival
For check-ins, we will greet you with a mask & gloves on and, from a socially distant space, we will guide you to your room. If you need help with your bags, we will gladly assist while wearing gloves. Your keys will be sanitized and will be in your room.
Breakfast will be a bit different than what we have done in the past. We won’t be able to have everyone gather in the sun room and have our multi-course sit down breakfast. We can accommodate one or two tables inside and perhaps do a staggered service. Or if you prefer, we can prepare a “to-go” breakfast which can be eaten on the patio or taken to the beach.
We usually have our staff clean your room every day. To ensure your safety and the safety of our cleaning staff, we will not enter rooms to perform daily cleaning. However, unless instructed otherwise, they will enter the room to remove any garbage and to exchange towels if needed. If there is anything else that you need during your stay, please let us know and we will assist you.
