COVID-19 Safety Information

To All Our Returning and Future Guests.

2020-2021 has been challenging for everyone, and we hope that you are all safe and healthy.  We feel extremely fortunate to be able to welcome our guests to the inn. But we want to ensure each and every one of you that your health and safety is our number one priority.

We recognize that COVID has affected each individual in different ways.  While many are excited to get back to normal, we think it’s important to remind everyone that not all of us are.  We will do our very best to meet the expectations of each of our guests.

We remain focused on keeping our guests and staff safe, healthy, and informed.

We are ready and we’re waiting for you!

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Travelers Coming to Massachusetts

Effective Monday, 22 March 2021, all visitors entering Massachusetts, including returning residents, are advised to quarantine for 10 days upon their arrival. Travelers in the following categories are exempt from this quarantine advisory:

– Travelers who have received a negative COVID-19 result on a test administered not more than 72 hours prior to their arrival in Massachusetts. Travelers may also test out of the quarantine advisory after arrival in Massachusetts, as long as they quarantine until receiving a negative test result.

– Anyone who is entering Massachusetts for fewer than 24 hours

– Anyone who is returning to Massachusetts after being out of the State for fewer than 24 hours

– Workers who enter Massachusetts to perform critical infrastructure functions (as specified by the Federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) during required commuting to or from work and while at work.

– Travelers who are fully vaccinated (i.e. who have received two doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines OR who have received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, 14 days or more ago) and who do not have symptoms.

All travelers are encouraged to consult and follow the CDC’s guidelines and requirements for travel.

Please review the Travel Advisory in detail (https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-advisory) to determine how it may impact your travel plans to visit us and Cape Cod.

Persons Who Have Been Completely Vaccinated for COVID-19

COVID-19 vaccinated individuals arriving in Massachusetts must have documentation of their vaccination(s), including the date(s) of administration, if asked. This exception does not include vaccinated individuals who have symptoms of COVID-19, who must follow all testing and quarantine guidance outlined in the travel rules.

Wearing of Face Mask / Covering

Effective 29 May 2021, per federal and state guidance, all non-vaccinated persons are requested to where a face mask inside, and outside (when proper social distancing can not be maintained).  Specific to our environment, a non-vaccinated person will be required to wear a mask in the Main House when outside of your room; and on the Long Dell Inn grounds when it is not possible to socially distance.  If you are having breakfast inside, a non-vaccinated person may remove their mask for eating and drinking.  All fully vaccinated persons may enjoy the inside and outside of our property without a mask. We want to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you do not have a mask, call us ahead of time and we will bring one to the door for you.

Cleaning of the Inn

The Long Dell Inn will be clean, safe and secure. The common areas and the guest rooms & bathrooms will be thoroughly cleaned by our wonderful cleaning staff with high grade cleaning products that adhere to CDC guidelines. For your safety and piece of mind, hand sanitizer will be available in each guest room and in the Main House of the Inn.

We have always taken the cleanliness of the Inn very serious.  In fact, we recently received our AAA Best of Housekeeping designation. According to AAA, the “Best of Housekeeping” designation is exclusively awarded to lodging properties that “significantly surpass expectations, as measured during a comprehensive, on-site inspection.” In order to meet the stringent criteria for the award, these properties must demonstrate housekeeping excellence by receiving the highest possible cleanliness and condition scores for two consecutive inspections, as well as be entirely free of AAA member complaints.

What to expect upon arrival

For check-ins, we will greet you with a mask on and, from a safe distance until we get the OK from you.  If you desire, we will guide you to your room, and help you with your luggage.  Your sanitized key(s) will be in your room.

Breakfast

Breakfast will be inside and outside (weather permitting).  If you prefer, we can prepare a “to-go” breakfast which can be eaten on your deck (if applicable), or taken off premises (like the beach). All breakfast seating is on a first come first serve basis.

Housekeeping Services

You will be given the option at check-in as to whether you would like a daily straightening up of your room during your stay.  If there is anything else that you need during your stay, please let us know and we will assist you.
